ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Judy Bobula has had a lifelong interest in art.  For many years she has painted realistically and more recently has turned in a new direction to a more impressionistic, interpretive style.

The bold colors and textured surfaces of her collages produce a unique quality to her paintings.

Ms. Bobula has studied art at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia and Kennesaw College in Marietta, Georgia.  She has continued her studies at Calhoun College and the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  She is a member of the National Collage Society and the Huntsville Art League and has participated in numerous workshops with noted artists over the years.

She is a founding member of the Georgia Miniature Art Society and has organized workshops to educate the public about miniature painting.  She has also taught painting to adults and children.

Ms. Bobula has received numerous awards in major competitive exhibitions.  Her work is found in both private and corporate collections throughout the United States.

Her paintings have been featured in regional newspapers and magazines and more recently in the Daniel Smith National Art Supply Catalog.

Raised in Wisconsin, she now lives in Huntsville, Alabama with her husband.  When not on the road, she spends the majority of her time painting in her studio.
